About the Presenter:  Andia Chaves Fonnegra, Ph.D., an assistant professor of biology in the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College and manager of the Laboratory of Integrative Marine and Coastal Ecology at FAU’s Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute. She was a L’Oreal-UNESCO For Women in Science Fellow in 2011 and has been awarded a 2019 Early-Career Research Fellowship by the Gulf Research Program of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine. Dr. Fonnegra’s research focuses on improving the management of marine ecosystems by determining how ecological interactions are altered by human activity and global impacts such as climate change and pollution. Dr. Fonnegra earned her Ph.D. in Marine Biology/Oceanography from Nova Southeastern University in 2014
