Second Friday of Every Month

Jam out under the Cox Science Center's full-dome planetarium, while the sounds of the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and more merge with dazzling laser light visuals! 

On the second Friday of every month, rock out with a nostalgic throwback to the classic laser light spectacles you know and love. From Daft Punk to Michael Jackson, we’re integrating music from some of the greatest artists of our time with mind-blowing laser-light visuals.

Cost: $11 for members; $13 for non-members (purchase below)

*Warning: Some content within these Laser Shows is rated PG-13. The entrance gate to Dreher Park may be closed on Southern Blvd. Please use the Summit Blvd. entrance*

Please note:

  • Laser show themes change monthly. Advance tickets go on sale on our website one month in advance of the show date and close at 5:00 pm on the day before. 

  • Admission to laser shows only includes a portion of Science Center exhibits. Each show lasts approximately 45-55 minutes. Doors lock 5 minutes after shows start and there is no late admittance. Please be sure to arrive early to ensure seating, which is first come, first serve.

  • Once your purchase goes through, your name will automatically be added to a will-call list. You should receive a confirmation email with your order number. You DO NOT need to print any tickets. Please bring your ID with you on the night of the event to redeem your tickets.

6PM | Laser Metallica: The band's fast tempos, instrumentals, and aggressive musicianship made them one of the founding "big four" bands of thrash metal, alongside Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer. Rock’s hardest-hitting music and some of Laser Fantasy’s most powerful laser effects combine in the definitive heavy-metal laser show.

7PM | Laser Led Zeppelin: With a heavy, guitar-driven sound, Led Zeppelin is cited as one of the progenitors of hard rock and heavy metal. Join us as we rock the night away and cover a wide range of their hits from the 70s.

8PM | NEW! Laser Nirvana: Nirvana ushered in the era of grunge, and changed the way rock would sound for years to come. Relive the band’s short but very influential career in a powerful laser tribute.

 

Friday, June 14th, 2024 - "Love, Lights, & Liberation"

6PM | NEW! Laser Pride: Celebrate the rainbow of love with Laser Pride! Featuring some of the most well-known music associated with LGBTQ+ artists and fans. From Prince to Madonna, and Queen to David Bowie, the theme is Pride, but more importantly, it’s all about Love, Lights, & Liberation!

7PM | Laser Lady Gaga: With her meteoric rise to fame, Lady Gaga is an undeniable force in modern music and entertainment. Bring some excitement and glam to your dome with Laser Gaga and watch as a star is born!

8PM | NEW! Laser Elton John: Elton John has sold over 300 million records over 6 decades in show business, making him one of the biggest-selling artists of all time. Laser Elton John celebrates his larger-than-life persona, bringing the Rocket Man’s powerful music to life in gorgeous laser light.
