Special Exploration Hours
We are proud to host Sensory Saturdays on the 1st Saturday of each month.
The Cox Science Center and Aquarium is open for special exploration hours from 9am-10am, specifically designed for families affected by autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing or cognitive challenges or other guests requiring assistance for disabilities.
Experience our exhibits without heavy crowds before we open to the public at 10am with softened general lighting, decreased noise level and limited visual stimulation on interactive exhibits wherever possible. Our facility is also ADA accessible and wheelchair friendly!
The Science Center opens at 10am after this special program for the general public, members, and Museums on Us attendees.
